Nice shot - does anyone remember using FP4? This image actually has an Ilford filter, maybe FP4, applied to it to give it that grainy effect. The reason being, it was taken on an iPhone.

I certainly remember FP4...a real favourite film back in the day, and that's a very nice photo Robert.

Very interesting, your picture took me straight back to the days when I used it. I didn't know you could get an equivalent today Graham.

FP4 has I think Gone. However, Ilford do produce FP5 Fuji sell "Acros". There are others... Last time I popped into my local lab they were snowed under with processing monochrome film Get that old camera out from the back of the cupboard and buy some film

I have been using some old Zenit cameras with my son - good fun and results pretty good. The benefit of 35 mm is that you print out pictures - I never do that with digital - hence I'll probably lose the lot if the computer goes down. Also used an old bellows camera that was last used about 60 years ago - results are very good in black and white.

[quote=4/4sportsfun I'll do that and give the 35mm a go Graham, thanks.[/quote] Excellent! Find a decent lab though - I can recommend "The Darkroom" in Cheltenham, but there are lots of other Pro labs offering good service at reasonable cost. Blackadder - glad to hear it. There is still something satisfying in using film that digital just doesn't fulfil, says he searching for a suitable wide lens to use with a Leica M8 (and M6 ).

I've got a Kodak Autographic bellows camera on the shelf. Takes 120, I believe.
