LMC 2016 Part 2

A few more from the weekend.

It was interesting to watch the different lines through the Dunlop curves from the drivers. A deeper entry was faster in and slower out , but did allow for out-braking the opposition on the entry. The faster line was a more acute entry, but left the door open from a late-braker, but gave a much cleaner exit allowing the power down earlier and therefore made overtaking before the bridge a bit easier.

PS I took over 200 photos which I have not yet edited or processed, so please excuse the slightly "raw" treatment , but I thought it would be nice to display them while they were fresh in people's minds.

Do like the Vinmog badge!!

I'd assumed it implied Vintage, not Vine...

Yes Peter it was always about "le vin" .

I think wine and driving Morgans along the deserted country roads are the best things about France, and combining them in one club is really great.

Quentin did a fantastic job for all of us who booked with him. I pity those who didn't.

I recall driving there in 2006 and 2010 - both times in high heat. Your photos brought back enjoyable and yet uncomfortable sticky memories! smile

Yep a fantastic weekend, much fun on the tour de piste (and the circuit drive).
Glad I didn't take my car up to the vinmog area, the dust was incredible. Camping at Maison Blanche was a good craic, just about enough showers and toilets, fortunately the hot water didn't run out. Maybe I'm getting too old for camping so if I return for the main race next year I'll be looking for an apartment or house to rent I think.

Hi Rob

Our friend Daniel lives just over an hour away ;-), also when Lars and I went we rented a superb place not far from Daniels (his house was full) and after the LM Classic went up to Bayeaux and stayed at the Novotel there (cheap/clean/good/pool) and had a couple of days visiting the beaches......

Just a thought.
