Four Seater Hardtop

Seen at MOG16...............
Making this would be a huge challenge, but it fits really well.

What can I say. It's my car and I have had the hard top for over 15 years stuck at the back of the garage before I eventually got it painted two years ago. It doesn't leak and it adds a different dimension to driving a Morgan. Take the side screens off and it's no warmer inside than having the hood up. I've only had my Morgan for 32 years (since new) Vans are cool! maybe in the future I'll blank the side windows off (could be the first Morgan four wheeler van)

Dave Rutherford produced some very interesting and well made GRP parts for Morgans even some complete cars such as the Modsports 4/4 campaigned by Chris Cooke in the mid 70's

Most of his moulds went to Sid Watson but I'm not sure about the hardtops

TO be honest it looks no worse than a four seater with the roof up anyway!

Dave Rutherford made it when he was in Cheshire, he also changed the rear shockers for telescopic, removed a leaf from the rear springs and fitted an under dash roll bar among other upgrades. He is a very nice and knowledgeable guy and his work was excellent. I also had the steering box changed at Lifes about 10 years ago again excellent service and I thoroughly recommend Lifes, all this has transformed the car for the better.

I have see several hardtop more odd than this one, the overall line fir nicely the MOG design, i am sure it will be hard to design a better one than your. if you intend to sell your hardtop let me know i will be happy to buy it and use it time to time.

Its different in a cool sort of way. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but isn't that what owning a Morgan is about.
I remember when the Chrysler PT Cruiser was released and it lifted car sales for them because of the retro look. I think the hard top on a four seater looking like this adds to the retro look of a Morgan.

Each to their own.

What's not to like?.....
The apparent build quality and fit/finish of this hardtop makes it easy to imagine the considerable comfort assets afforded to driver and passengers when motoring long distances in foul weather.
Please post photos of the interior if possible. I assume the top to be quite weighty therefore requiring considerable assistance when removing or replacing it. How much weight does it add to the car?
cheers

The sidescreens do not fit the lines of the hardtop.
That is the only thing to criticise.
As usual the sidescreens are convenient but not beautiful.
