Hi Graham,
As we arrived in the village of Hencho it started to rain. With the Fairbourne Screen even if its chucking it down we never get wet whilst on the move. However when one has to stop its another story. We have a drill and get out the car as soon as possible with tonneau always handy rather than packed away.
We saw a space right in front of the Hotel. I thought perfect! Then within a couple of minutes it REALLY lashed it down with thunder and lightning. I have never washed the car before always preferring Dry Wash but boy did it get a wash. The gutter directly above must have been blocked and I just stood watching helplessly wondering if the car was filling up.
After about half an hour it had stopped and upon inspection I must say I was relieved to see there was hardly a drop inside. I guess if I hadn't modded the zip with a flap it would have gone straight though.
There is a movie of this and I will load some into a dropbox file in a few days time. You will see what I mean.
All part of the fun I guess?
