Not a bad idea! And nicely done Claudio. And at least the headlights are NOT positioned cross-eyed!!! How did anyone at MMC think the first Aero headlights would appeal??? Maybe someone should have gone to specsavers? Very curious! Am I alone in this thought? Appologies to all you Aero buffs!! You should be SW19

Thats very nice. Tastefully done too. Good work ! Got me thinking though ...Even though this kind of treatment is fairly subtle, I am not sure it sits comfortably with the retro-modern 'classic Morgan' feel at the end of the day. (aka 4/4 sport for example). After all the chassis & suspension etc..is still very much old school so I think this detailing goes too far over the line. But perhaps this kind of thing would work really well with, say an aero 8 type build. I think that could be a real winner..... a model range to bridge the gap beween old and new.

Morgan should give you a job now ! That is exactly the car I want, the perfect balance of the old and new. No disrespect to 3 wheeler fans but this is what Morgan should be doing, not producing a massively over priced trike.

Hi all, Thanks for your comments. As I said in my first post http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/44616/2 ............Today a lot of things are changing in the car world, and I think we probably must be prepared to accept a lot of changes in +4 too! (or the Trads production will cease soon IMO). For example in the body-construction technology (using new materials); new comfortable and sure cockpit; new technology for better/safe driving; new engines also hybrid, etc. ………therefore……Changing everything (in the building of a Morgan) for changing nothing (in the "Classic shape”). This has to be the +4 philosophy in the future IMHO, and I'm sure +4 will become more and more fascinating! ………. So my new Plus 8 has almost the same shape of a Roadster model, just a bit different in width; the car is supposed to be built on a new alu-chassis, fitted out with new headlights, new suspensions, new alu-rims, new low-tyres, a 8V engine,… a lot of electronics for safety-drive…………a high performance car in a very classic shape indeed! Claudio, I agree with exactly what you are saying. Morgan are without doubt a successful operation but I feel that most of their new innovations with the exception of that ghastly 3 wheeler ( I promise not to slag it off any more ) are pitched at the very high price end of the market and not much is happening in the bread and butter range other than a cosmetic variation on the usual theme. Thats fine if you just want to continue to preach to the converted but equally, it does'nt really give much motivation for those existing Morgan owners to change their car for a newer model, , it also does'nt provide a reason to draw in many "new blood" customers. I've got a Plus 8, and that's the only reason I own a Morgan. I'll either keep it till I die or sell it on but then leave the Morgan fold as there's nothing within the current range to keep me as an ongoing customer as much as I'd like to. Your proposal fills that gap and I'm sure it would bring in new customers to Morgan. There is definitely a void between the trads and Aero's. I respect the Aero's but I would'nt buy one. I'd be interested to know how long most people keep their Morgans for and if they do change the car, whether they stayed within the Morgan brand. I would suspect it's either very long term ownership or been there, done that, moved on to something else as there was'nt a logical progression of model to aspire to. Fancy going into business Claudio : )

Dear Smiffmog, Quick answer on long term ownership is eighteen years with my first 4/4, twelve with my current plus 4, another 4/4 inbetween. , and 300000 miles in all. Briefly considered a Caterham, but still with the Mog and will probably stay with it as it gets better all the time . I very much empathise with Paul Clarke who just keeps updating his 4/4 and currently runs a v6 motor in it. Your point regarding the mid field is a good one. Meabh.

What is the colour? I have seen a car similarly coloured that was Rolls Royce Garnet Red - looked chocolate coloured until close up. It was in Allon Whites showroom last year when i was there picking up my 4/4
