That's a beauty you can't sell that for a while yet, far too much fun to be had yet she looks immaculate.

You also have the only badge I would ever put on my Morgan too thumbs

It's the emog badge I think they were produced for gomog it was the name of their forum which shut down in 2011 due to too many warriors and general traffic was at a ridiculous level .
I have looked on and off for one for years, I first saw one on a car when I visited the MOG event in Newquay years ago it is a perfect example of less is more IMHO it features an @ on top of the grille. It's the only one I've seen but that was the one and only gathering of Morgan's I have been to in 15 years ownership I'm not a club person.

They sold 600 badges in 48 hours and appear on cars in 36 different countries apparently.

I was lucky to receive the first EMOG Badge. It was Lorne Goldman's Prototype. I had Emailed Lorne asking Him to send Me My EMOG Badge first so I could upstage My Canadian Friends. Instead Lorne sent the Prototype to Ron Theroux (A Canadian and old Friend). At a Morgan Party at Ron's house Ron presented Me with the Prototype Badge. I was in shock, Ron had again out smarted Me with Lorne's help. When I received My EMOG Badge I returned the prototype to Lorne.

You are a lucky man Button, they are a thing of great desire and a nice bit of history there behind yours.

Richard, many thanks for your kind comments re the old Mog. Given the amount of Morgan specific thought care and skill Kevin put into rebuilding the old thing all those years ago there are times when I think I am but a custodian of it, given I know how it feels to put so much effort into any project..

Not long after acquiring the old thing, I attended a Fellmog lakes weekend, where they held a car park concours and the Mog won first in class, I offered to sent the trophy to Kevin, but being the gent he is he would not here of it.. Since that time the Mog has seen a few rough back roads and even been out in the snow, but still looks pretty smart on the underside and elsewhere, and I suspect it could still be brought back to concours condition with a bit of effort given the foundation that Kevin built in has proved it`s worth..

Thanks also for the concerns for my stiffening knee folks. That I can still get in and out of the old thing, is all that matters for the moment.. thumbs

The eMog badge.... well spotted Richard.. (-: It has been in place since the day I first received it, though showing a bit of ...err...patina now as I am not by nature one of the spit and polish brigade..(-: I keep my eMog badge in place even though eMog is no more... By way of an explanation of keeping the badge in place for a defunct group, we have a rather poignant toast here in Scotland and perhaps elsewhere, oft heard at The Bells (New Year) the toast being "To absent friends" thus my eMog badge is worn with pride as a reminder of absent friends.... even the overly opinionated ones... (-: I also have number 88 of the numbered series of the badge in a box sent to me as a birthday present by Lorne all those years ago. Number 8 of that series was sent to Rodger, an Oz bod +8 owner who supported eMog.

The design of the badge seems just about perfect for a Morgan given it`s minimal resistance to impede the much needed airflow to the Mogs rad and in my case an oil cooler too.. From a poor memory I think Lorne had designed a series of badges in discussion with the jeweller/manufacturer which he then put to the membership to chose the final design, the "winner" being the one you posted an image of Richard... a simple and elegant design encapsulating well what it represented...? (-:

I tried to post a pic of my few badges in the badges section of this DG, but on pressing the button to post.. I was informed I had zero bytes available... pity, but probably down to my lack of digital skills..

As for the resistance to airflow of the badge... my Morgan has not ever spat out any of it`s coolant, not even when Italians were fainting in the street at a time when the reported temps were the highest recorded in Rome in years when we were touring there in 2003... I did not realise that the situation would be a good experience for the Mog given the temps we have experienced here in recent weeks...!!!

Best stop rambling on and on and on...NOW..! blush

Mr Luddite , are you George?

The car fits, your location fits, so my antennae are raised . If so, welcome back to the fold , I knew your +8 was in storage whilst you rebuilt a garage around it(?)

We have stayed at your friend Gordon's B&B near Dumfries a couple of times on our way north to the Highlands and each time we enquired of you we were told you were very busy and had not really driven the +8 very much for some time.

Andy G sorry, no prize for identity, as Tim was first to have his suspicions followed by Brian of this cyber Parish...

The epic build is complete... well as much as any self build ever will be... (-:

Gordon`s B&B would seem perfectly located for North Bound Southerners to securely park their Morgans for the night and desired spacious personal accommodation.

We spent Burns night at Gordon`s on many occasions with Porsche pals, even did so with my Morgan, as the Porsche folk were still reasonably happy to put up with my change in allegiance all those years ago, me having spent many years an enthusiast for the air cooled flat six... I admit to still being a bit of a CARsonova...(-:

Cheers, George.
