Snapped by Henri Cartier-Bresson

Browsing through a glossy book of photographs by Henri Cartier-Bresson I came across this picture of the "Bay of the Somme, France, 1970".
There's a Morgan in the composition, registration UJD864F. I believe this car is still on the road. I wonder if the current owner knows the car has its own sort of fame?

Yes still taxed and MOT'd, built 1968 which would tie in with registration number but re-registered with DVLA in 1983, maybe after a rebuild. A +4 with TR engine by the look of registered capacity and with green paint.

Well spotted DavidandGraham.. Interesting update too Richard, thanks.

My old Morgan appeared in the classic press on a couple of occasions, once in a +8 comparison over the years of production while in the ownership of it`s nut and bolt restorer, and again a few years later, though this time in my ownership.... In the latter article the photographs were taken by me, so no works of art for sure.. laugh2

I saw that picture quite a few years ago, and was reminded of it when producing the first MSCC Calendar (in 2002 for year 2003). The picture chosen for the front cover was very similar - and also taken of a French beach.
