Aero 8 GTN and Roadster Lightweight

Someone on another posting was asking about the car in the background parked behind the V8 GTN, outside the old reception.

It is indeed a works Morgan Lightweight Roadster finished in the team colours of the time. It was nice car to drive and quite powerful, but I do recall the CD player refusing to eject a Led Zep CD, which eventually came out slightly mangled. I also recall the side exit pipes created a fair bit of noise, and would announce your arrival! Some Lightweight Roadsters are currently racing in the Aero Racing challenge series.

The V8 GTN is one of MMC's greatest cars and certainly one of my favourites. At one time the MMC appeared to retain two - V8 GTN and VX53 KTJ which was the car driven by Richard Hammond in the Top Gear programme. V8 GTN can also be seen racing in the challenge series.

The works livery was used on the 2004 Le Mans car.

One of the reasons I said Roadster, not R. Lightweight, in the other thread, was that it didn't look like that with its sidelights; as you say CD/radio etc. not the usual accessories; they're usually not there on a Lightweight (as well as the interior). Perhaps one with the road in mind. It's a 2004, and I believe they (you) presented the Lightweight in 2005; but as a works car perhaps it could be one special, done during that process. Anyhow, on the other picture, a year or so later, it's rear pipes (for stealth arrival? laugh ) and other wheels.
