Blue Ridge Parkway - used to read about that a lot in the old Road Rider magazine. Nice one on the picnic!  Looks a nice drive out

Cracking road ...... good for picnic/camping spots too ....still only allowed 5 miles from home here so well envious!

fortunately it is only about 30 miles from our house. At at an overlook, and across the road could see the picnic tables in the area still closed off.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the all time favourite scenic drives.
I have only done it in a rental tiptop but I still remember it vividly. The only issue I do recall was the low speed limit which was pretty rigidly enforced (in those days)
