We have been attempting to fit the Tonneau with varying success, yesterday it went on using the method described in the video found here:

The method is the same for a four seater
As you see ours is not quite on properly, the hood material needs tidying and one or two of the poppers still have to be stretched into place. By the time we had finished both of us were exhausted, it took us a good 20 minutes and so I think this is not something we will be doing very often. I must say that driving with it fitted over half the cockpit is rather special and I imagine it could be very cosy in winter. I would be interested to hear of your thoughts on the use of this item.

The "Cover for the Tonneau area" (Iwith respect from one Ian to another Ian You know who you are! ) is a great enhancement when driving solo and for security when parking. The video is spot on and it takes (normally) two minutes. By fitting and securing the front poppers with the hood frame raised takes all of the tension out of the cover and then retentions when hood frame locked down.
However, once fitted and you are driving alone it can inflate and flap around (particularly without side screens). I found it unpleasant and noisy so I came up with a cheap and easy modification. See thread

Just to help Kev

A few ideas that I’ve used that might help

Leave the cover on and park it in the warm sun for a bit and then try again to get the poppers on or if you want to do it in the garage apply a bit of warmth with a hair dryer - (warm not hot) to help it stretch a bit and do a bit of tucking again

Once it’s on apply some Aerospace 303 Protectorant. This helps to stop UV fading and shrinkage and cleans it as well

If you leave it on a few weeks while you are motoring it soon complies a bit more

Even though my cover is Mohair, it is trimmed all around the edge with vinyl so mine is always tricky to put on the first time in a while and I have the same problems

Just a thought on storage of your cover when it’s not in use

I have mine folded in a bag stored in the warmest part of my garage
It’s an integral garage and the corner next to an internal wall at the back of the garage is pretty warm from the house all year round. This helps a bit.

If your garage is separate and/or unheated, it might be better storing it in the house

I also have a hood cover that looks identical to the back bit of the tonneau cover and I do the same for that as well but it’s always a struggle putting it on after a long time stored

The new seater tonneau is a pain to put on.. I wondered if you could add a zip so you have a hood cover and a tonneau?

The challenge is getting the tonneau under the hood frame at the back.

I have a mohair one in my dads car which is no better.

I had a new tonneau cover made by Allon White with a transverse zip. We use it when touring as it has a flap that ensures all the luggage is covered and we just zip on the front part when parking. The zip isn't fully waterproof - I decided against flaps etc because of where it is - but it serves a useful purpose for summer tours.
