We arrived early this morning at Fleet Service Station and parked up and went in for a bacon sarnie and a coffee.

When we came out we were chatting with some of the new Supercar arrivals standing at the back of the car, when a member of the public pointed out that one of the front tyres was punctured. Initially, we could not see what had caused this so tried a cannister of goo...

It did not work and so when the breakdown truck arrived the driver examined the tyre carefully by hand, and found what was a pretty invisible cut. He inserted his vehicle keys in it and in his opinion, the tyre had been punctured by a sharp knife in the sidewall and it had gone straight down.

It's a strange country we live in these days!

P.S. The only plus is that the wheel was not damaged.

Thanks Andrew, it did mean that we missed the runs up (or is it down, then up?) Gurston Down, though we did enjoy the rest of the day at Wilton House.

I'm gutted for you, not just a ruined tyre but also all the hassle that goes with it.

Who are these scum that reside in our country now?

Round the lot of them up and throw them down a very deep mine shaft I say!

Dump them somewhere where their antics are repaid in a proper way - not just a slap on the wrist and do a few hours community service...

It's disgusting what some people do when they are jealous, someone did the same to both rear tyres on my dads Escort Cosworth back in the 90's. That was parked up in Canary Wharf so you even get the scumbags around there! :/

I think that this is the first occasion in the comparatively short time I have been using these pages, that a case of mindless vandalism being directed at a Morgan has been reported.
I think that apart from the annoyance and inconvenience it is the mindset behind the behavior that will have the most damaging effect - to all owners.
However, it would appear to be a relatively rare incident, by and large Morgans are left alone - or am I kidding myself?

All service stations nowadays have CCTV.

Sorry to hear about this damage Brian. Unfortunately, these Motorway Service Areas seem to attract and provide just the lifestyle that these scum feed off and enjoy.

I hate them both. Thankfully it was only a tyre.
