During my walk to pick up a sandwich for lunch, I saw this new Aston Martin Cygnet.

I wondered if it would look better in the metal than in the press shots; in my humble opinion, it did not. Perhaps it was the colour but it looked like an odious little econo-box which has been burdened with a Max Power bodykit, in the hopes of making it look like a mini Vanquish.



I know they need to reduce the average CO2 in the Aston range but was this the only way?

Well, my local Aston Martin Cygnet, which started out at £45,995 on the forecourt, is now marked down to £29,950.

ex-demo? How many miles? Surely it will drop like a stone if someone actually buys it and drives it?

It is the a-typical Aston gunmetal silver and I believe it is their showroom/demo car; although I never see it move.

I know the launch cars were all pitched at £45,000 but writing £15,000+ off within a short period of time, isn't saying much for the residual value of these AM products.

Perhaps, as per our original line of thought, customers can't see why they'd buy one for £20,000+ over a Toyota iQ

For that money you could get a 3-wheeler.
More eco friendly as it uses 25% less rubber?
I do think Aston could have done much better in the design area. How can a car like that be allowed to have an Aston badge?
The reasons behind the car to lower Aston's emissions average may be the aim but will they sell enough to combine and give the desired lowering of CO2?
