Hi Ewan ... glad you had a good experience of Silverstone (so many big events are a nightmare of facilities not matching numbers attending) ... only been there once (to watch a pal's son driving in British Formula 3) and my impression was the same .... though having spent years at hillclimbs where the cars are right there just feet away I found it hard to adjust to the wide open spaces.

Thanks for posting the photos Ewan,
I've not been to a live GP since Mansell mania in 1992, back then the road infrastructure often took 3 or 4 hours just to get offsite, but I agree Silverstone is a great venue and atmosphere

I have been back to Silverstone a couple of time for the Classic (as it used to be called) and had no entry/exit problems.

Come to think of it 5 hours is probably more accurate Steve, I still remember chatting to Murray Walker as he sat queuing in his blue 3 Series

The queues were fine at all times except the end on Sunday, but that was an accident at our car park exit. it was about two hours all told to get out including the diversion. The F1 historic car were also fantastic, among others, Jenson Button took Mansell’s Williams out for a few screeming laps.
