M3W Turn Signal Modules
Compare the two TSMs...new one on the left, old one on the right. The version on the label is the same. Is the blacked-out number and the two-digit number in the lower right of the label the month and year the TSM was manufactured? The old TSM is from a 2018 M3W and the new one was purchased in April 2025.

They should be exactly the same module but the later one would have been produced after the introduction of the EU-4 cars which have 14 pins instead of the 18 of the 2014 onwards cars.
As a reminder, I still have a couple of Alister's upgraded TSMs available which prevent the possibility of a slight voltage spike shorting out all or part of the TSM circuitry. If this happens symptoms vary from indicators not working on one side of the car to the engine not being able to be switched off, even if you remove the key. The way to stop it is to stall it, however it then won't restart until you replace the TSM!!!
