As said in another thread, you can't add a photo to a thread in the photo sections. By trying, it can knock out the original photo(s). A bug in the forum software somewhere, I believe.

Yes, it was discussed more fully in the thread How do I load pictures? last year. Only the original poster can add pictures to his own post in the gallery during the edit period, and even then it knocks out the previous thumbnail in the "Latest Photos" pane on the left (which is a bug). It's not possible to post images within replies to gallery posts. That's actually not a bug, it was deliberately implemented that way in the version of software this forum uses (although the restriction is lifted in later versions). ~iw
