New Dash & Wheel

I did not like the original dashboard and steering wheel of my car - somehow it spoilt the ride.
A significant birthday prompted my best friend to buy me a Mota Lita Steering Wheel of my choice. That done I found a second hand walnut dash and set off to Kevin Vernon at Tudor Motors for a great day out.
Kevin fitted everything and made it look easy, but then he has done one or two.
The brackets securing the Rev counter and Speedo were too short for the new dash as the cut-outs were recessed.
Kevin quickly welded extentions on to the brackets and the crisis was over.
Kevin then put the car on the ramp and checked the steering geo with laser equipment, took a few minutes to confirm all was well.
A great day out and I am delighted with the result!
All the best
Tony

It's my favourite layout, despite not being 'traditional'.
A great shame it's not available as a new option now.

That's progress for you smile I see a clock wasn't standard then and still isn't, which is a serious oversight nono in my book because a clock is more useful than a rev counter when you've a ferry to catch for instance

I agree, Quiksilver. And MK could also bring in line the colour of the steering wheel´s wood with the dash. Rather easy to do for him by pickling the wood.
Same colour for steering wheel and dash would look even more classy.

somestick

(Usual disclaimer...)

Kind regards,
