Just an odd thought.
I have looked at the possibility of fitting doorchecks to my '92 4/4 but as I don't have the metal scuttle bar I have not. I am ok with the leather straps but checks would be a nice addition. What scope is there to fit them to a standard framed car?
I know that the metal bar will give a really solid anchor point but could they be fitted to a wooden frame?
I will have to look at the internals to see the structure and what scope there is for adding a mounting plate or similar as this would be better than to the frame direct.
Has anyone tried this?
