Actually I find the stainless wires aren't hard to clean at all, on my 4/4 anyway, though I guess they are half the width of those on the roadster! All I do is spray them with Muc-off (which is sold both for mountain bikes and alloy wheels, same stuff, bigger bottle), wait a minute then hose off. After that I wash the car and at the end I use a big, soft wire wheel brush with the remains of the wash solution. I am not concours-OCD so have not bothered taking them off to clean the backs! Nor do I wax them, leather them, or put snake oil on them. Just muc-off, hose, and wash = shiny.


How do you avoid getting Muc-off on the discs?
