hi, i seem to have an oil issue...

popped out earlier in the car, 1983 4/4 with 1.6 cvh, and when i came home noticed quite a bit of oil on the drive. had a look under the bonnet and noticed its pretty damp on the front right side of the engine, first though was sump plug but as i delved further it seems to be coming from slightly higher up. so started her up and oil literally pours out.

i'll admit i'm not to familiar with the cvh, but from my observation and also from the diagram here...

i'm thinking that the gasket for the oil pump has failed. i've checked the two bolts i can reach and both are snug.

does anyone have any advice or guidance please? should it be required is the gasket replacement fairly straightforward?
