Ref. seat belts getting dirty, if you look back through the picture section, you will see some pictures of my black car, with the rear cover open, showing my little home made aluminium mudguard, which is very simple and very effective at containing all the cr4p that comes off the wheel, it also seems to keep the seat belts clean and dry. The factory, however may by now have a mod of their own?

On the fuel gauge question, I have noticed that I can go for miles and miles with it reading single figures, and, like you, I ran around with a spare can of fuel in the back during the summer. From memory, I think I got something like 250 miles out of a tank full, disappointingly getting a little under 30mpg, and that driven gently too. I suppose I was hoping for mid 30's at least. Are there any other reports of fuel consumption?
