Damn things should be engineered so as the be reasonably self cleaning or pull the air from somewhere else that doesn't get filled up with leaves etc.

My Alfa has twice blocked the aircon drains and filled up the passenger foot well with water. After the second time something was done to ensure it never happened again. Unfortunately seems to have had the side effect of ruining a very expensive wiper motor that doesn't like to function submerged. Then the aircon pump seized filling the car with smoke from the belt running over a blocked pully. Add to that dampers, suspension components and a new rack and pinion. 90,000 km and so far I have spent about €15K on repairs that should not have been needed.

Needless to say I will think twice before buying another Alfa.
