Jnr just phoned she thinks I can answer everything instantly without seeing it . She has just started packing her 03 Clio to travel home and informs me the near side floor is soaking not in the rear but under the seat and front foot well . She is like most daughter thinks cars never need looking at and go on for ever without a problem . Anyone got any ideas what or where its coming from before she lands on me giving me hell .
At a guess the car has a sun roof. If you google clio sunroofs you will find that they are notorious for leaking. Its a PITA to deal with but it is a DIY job. Requires complete removal of the sun roof, cleaning and re-sealing with the likes of sikaflex. The leak in my sons case was between the metal of the roof and the outer most sealing strip ie not between the glass and the seal.
And the water appeared in just the places you describe.
