I have to disagree with some of the comments made in the last post as The MK 1 is more or less the same car as all the other marks - even the new plus eight looks a similar nightmare to work on.
Try changing the 'O' rings on the braided oil lines from filter to crank case if you don't believe me. Just because the later models had (for example)rubber mounts to drive line etc doesn't make them easier to work on, they were just less track focused.
If this car was on dealer forecourt you would be looking at 38/39k, so IMO he's under priced it by at least 2k. Anyway, it's all incidental now as the car's been snapped up by some lucky guy from Sweden....
