My word, what a very well knowledged bunch of folks you are! I look forward to bumping into other Morgan owners in Surrey, although I have more chance of seeing an M3W than a Spider. There were only 60 ever sold in the UK between 96 and 98, but the RHD cars are not really right and proper, as the balance is all wrong (LHD drive cars balance driver with fuel tank and battery and don't need nasty bell-cranks for clutch and brake pedals).

My Spider is a little bit 'tweaked', as is my way, and runs Ohlins, +30bhp and other general tweakery. It is much more responsive now, as the weight has dropped to about 850kg and power lifted to 180bhp. It is of course the correct Yellow with Grey and with Windscreen, plus LHD. It's cold, windy and impractical, but brilliant fun and surprisingly capacious with lots of luggage space in the front boot for a French Continental tour. Mrs R1NGA and I do a lot of events with the Renault Alpine Owners Club (twinned with the Alpine Gordini Club de France) and the Macon Rally is a highlight. La Vie en Bleu at Prescott in June (Sun 2nd this year) is also a cracking event - WISCOS, you really should come looksee! Loads of Alpines and Bugatti's of every shape and flavour. I was parked in the Paddock collecting area in the pi55ing rain at the 2009 event next to Pink Floyd's Nick Mason in his T35, both of us sheltering under umbrellas comparing notes about classic cars and Audi RS6's, which we both happened to have at home and wished we were sat in at the time!

I really look forward to my time with the little Morgan and I am sure it will compliment the Spider, not fight for attention with it.
