As a completely non technical, non mechanical owner I wonder if somebody could give me some advice about improving the braking on my 2002 4/4. Whilst making progress in the right direction is high on my priority list my number one priority in any car is the ability to stop!
My 4/4 stops reasonably well but the lack of assistance with the braking effort encourages me to leave plenty of room between me and the car in front. Unfortunately not all drivers respect my braking space as they seem to think I can stop on a sixpence.
Has anyone had a brake servo fitted as an after sale upgrade - is one available? If so are there any suppliers/installers that would be recommended? Is it a sensible thing to do i.e. is it compatible with the car or does it create other problems?
Any information would be much appreciated.
