In spite of my earlier remark about having some sympathy with no side mirrors and a glance over the shoulder, I must admit that you're right. Reversing into the garage is so much easier with round door mirrors. Also, it has occurred to me since - is it not illegal to drive without at least an OS door mirror? No doubt I will find out quickly if I am wrong...


You only need one mirror for the MOT. Whether a car is illegal to drive without a door mirror would, I think, depend upon the Construction and Use Regulations for the car when it was manufactured.
