I managed to sort out a replacement battery today. I narrowed it down to a choice between an Exide or a Bosch. I ended up choosing the Bosch but they appeared to be much the same.

The last one lasted for six years mostly due to lack of use in the winter.

I seem to forget how difficult the battery is to remove. Mine is a 1998 4/4. I have seen other Morgans with the battery rear mounted in a different location. Still if I can have peace of mind for another six years then that is fine.

Still you can't beat being out in good weather with the MOG trouble free.

I did the Stelvio pass a couple of years ago. 48 hairpin bends going down and the brakes failed. Wife put her foot down (not on the brakes because they did not work!) No more holidays with passes. Can only go now where it is flat. Holland here we come.
