While you've got them out its well worth sealing all the gaps with tape and silicon it stops the car filling up with water when it rains and prevents the interior getting covered in dust from the belt.
Almost finished with the sealing and am tackling the almost last bit of covering the rear access to the seat belt channel. It is wide open to the rear wheel and deserves a cover. My lady friend did not take kindly to pulling the seatbelt out to fasten it and finding road grit, water and mud added to her once clean shirt.
I could really do without those withering looks... sigh
Found a 1/2" water pipe foam insulator that I will modify to fit around the rear tray to help with keeping road mung from creeping up to that space. Biggest problem with that is the leather hinge flap. Someone posted a picture of a ABS trailer fender that with only a slight modification wraps around the whole wheel and would seem to greatly reduce the dirt incidence. That's next!
