Has anyone changed the heated windscreen on a modern Plus 4? I was barrelling down the A3 and a chunk was taken out of it by a flying stone. Its taken out the heating element so I need a new windscreen. The insurance company only uses National Windscreens and they have ordered a replacement from the Factory - they will only supply complete units - pillars and all. Bit nervous about letting someone from National WIndscreens loose on Doris without me there.
It looks like an easy change - just undo the bolts locking the pillars onto the side of the body, pull off the windscreen and presumably connect up a heating connection. Am I right or is this more difficult than it looks? Any tips or things to watch out for?
I'd really appreciate any input you maight have.
