Yes, the reason I asked about an alarm was that I went through my insurance company's website (Direct Line) to see what the insurance cost might be, and it insisted that an alarm was fitted. I insure my TVR Griffith 500 through them with a surprisingly reasonable price.
Perhaps its time to look elsewhere. I will certainly look at the insurance company you mentioned.
