Autoglass replaced the rear quarter light in my wife's Golf. This entailed removing the door skin, which is held in with screws of differing lengths. When he replaced them he mixed them up and one of the longer screws went through the door skin from inside to out where a shorter one should have been :-(
Autoglass did pay for the damage, so it's worth contacting them.
On a later occasion we had to have the windscreen replaced. The insurers sent Autoglass again, but a much better bloke this time. While doing the windscreen, he noticed that the previously replaced rear quarter light was the wrong colour ( I had spotted this but thought it was just a differing batch), and ordered one in the correct colour and came back the next day to fit it!
