I've been struck very recently by some of the model names that manufacturers are now using. OK, I accept that we've always had the occasional eccentricity:

eg Ford Edsel ( named after Henry's boy, of course) Colt Starion (all those jokes about Japanese pronunciation). Renault Vel Satis to name but a few, and we've also had the PR speak to accompany the reason for these names eg Mondeo because it is a 'World' car

However, are things now getting worse WE have the 'UP'. the 'ADAM' and ( my own personal favourite-not) the TOCA
- which I misread the first time I saw it as the TWOCA ooo
Any to add?
Cheers
