Being a bit of Jay Leno fan I happened upon this video advocating the steam cleaning of cars, outside, inside and under the bonnet. Surely this can't be right.
I beleive that steam cleaning wash all the rage 20 years ago, the engine bay and suspension being given a thorough claer. It was then found that the steam cleaning was removing oil and grease from areas that need protection. Chrome wire wheel were also a problem, as the steam could be forced between the spokes.
