A bit more information on the Simmonds Header rail system. I popped in to see him today for a chat and pick up a couple of things. I mentioned the interest in the Header Rail system. He is still stocking them and I understand that he's to update his website when he is able to with better videos showing how his products fit and work. Certainly the Header Rail system is beautifully made and he confirms that it easily stores down behind the seats with no trouble.
He showed me his range of steering wheels with some nice woodrim additions to the range, quick release hubs and a superb bakelite rimmed wheel in large diameter which is in prototype form.
If anyone is going to the Goodwood Revival he has a stand there this year with all his goods.
Thanks for your post. I think its fine that Simmonds is still in Morgan business. I hope they still make their Windwings because I can recommend it to everyone.
Regarding the header rail, I think it's a fine solution for 2-seaters, but for 4-seaters there is just to much hood to be foulded, so that doesn't work without disconnecting the railer from the hood. I always store the hood at home, or laying on the back seat. Unfortuanately, because I should love the idea from the header rail!
