Use a microfibre drying towel rather than a chamois and pat dry, dont rub. Silicone srapers can pick up grit and then drag it across the paint, best avoided.
I'd also suggest a microfibre wash mitt rather than a sponge as well....far gentler and wont hold grit on the surface which sponges can do.
