No, you do not have to enjoy mechanics to run a Morgan. It does help. With the newer Morgans, all that needs to be done is a regular greasing of the front suspension (2 nipples each side) every 250-500miles, or say once a month. You could choose to ignore doing this, but expect the king pins to need to be renewed at about 12000 to 15000 miles. Just factor that into your running costs.
There is no reason why you could not arrange for your local car service station to grease the front suspension regularly for you for a small change. Other than an occasional tightening of fitting, that is it, anything more serious take it to a dealer for repair.

In truth you can get involved as much or as little with the mechanics as you like. Go for it and be happy.
