Hi John
If the rear lights are the same as mine they do leave a little to be desired. I recently changed a lens. My fitment was also secured to the lens with a single bead of silicon sealant. They will however separate with a slit from a scalpel and a hearty twist. Had to clean up and re silicon to assemble.
I’m just in the process of looking to replace the complete light units and mounts with something a little more conventional. The large rolled thread on the fitment that screws into the rubber mount doesn’t fill me with confidence. Mine are currently taped up with black insulation tape as I fear I may lose them on a bumpy road.
