My first drive was back in 1978 in a 1967 4/4 in Westminster Green at John Britten Garages (no longer in existence). The car wasn't exactly in tip top condition and I remember the guy who took me out thought the Arkley kit car they produced, based on the MG midget might be a better bet.
Later that same day we called into Morris Stapleton Motors (also no longer a Morgan dealership) and drove the car that became my first Morgan, a red 1969 4/4 with bench seat, no louvers to the top of the bonnet and only two wipers. A lovely car, which in many ways I wish I still had, but two years later I swapped it for a +8!
