My first drive in a Morgan was in September last year - a 4/4 loaned to me by BHM whilst waiting for my Roadster to be built. I ordered and spec'd mine without having driven one before.
I've had a succession of big, low and wide sports cars which always left me unsatisfied somehow. The Morgan is not only very pretty, but it's as close to motorcycling as you could possibly get (apart from the 3W). More exposed than any other convertible and with a view down the louvres that's hard to beat. With the hood down and country smells hitting you as you waft along.... Can't beat it really. Everyone smiles too.
I'm not a fan of the handling to be honest, it's rudimentary. But I can forgive the Elizabethan engineering as it's such a great place to sit.
