Good ideas chaps - only problem with taking the car back and driving it is that the defective hood leaks and isn't very secure, so not that happy with using the car...

Matt - it is exactly like yours, with the same problem, and having the same fix. It's the second version of the Series 1 hood, with the rubber seals and the higher roofline; this hood destroys its own seals when you raise and lower it, due to a design flaw.

Interesting that you were told that the delay was due to a lack of material - I was told that they had lost the pattern and nedded to basically redesign the hood from scratch, custom build it and properly test it (which seems implausible, but very diligent!).

Mr Tony - I hear what you say abut the Aero, and I agree - but the F355 Spyder in Tour De France Blue with tan interior is an itch I've always have to scratch too, though...we'll see how this example I'm inspecting this weekend looks!
