thank you both for your opinions. I guess it sounds like something modern and cheap mixed with a trad morgan would be the best route as I sense from the replies that a trad would mean some frustrations on the daily commute. There will always be days when you just want to drive to work and not have the hassle of roof leaks and other quirks.
