On the Roadster 100 Register website we keep a list of Members Reported Car Faults and frequency.

I won't go into numbers and frequencies but the latest one to start recurring are 'Plastic Radiator lower hosepipe connections shearing off needing New Rads. ( some at only 4k miles ). A bit of a worry (for me) if it hasn't happened yet.

All our cars have been out of warranty for some time.


Do you know if a cause has been identified for this? I wonder if it could be caused by the hoses becoming stiffer over time and transmitting vibration to the radiator connection rather than absorbing it in the hose? Has anyone tried swapping to silicone hose?
