I went from a 87 4/4 4 seater to a 96 +4 4 seater... I did try a 2 seater at BHM but as one was used to the space and practicality of 4 seats over the years even without children to think about I just couldn't live with a 2 seater as my only car.
Hence my choice of the +4, on a +8 chasis with wider wheels make a massive differnance on drivability, more comfortable, nice gearbox, but of torque etc.. Also if I want more power I could put a rover v8 in it or a T16 Turbo for not much money..
I also think the traditional pre 99 4 seater is better looking than the new one with the hood off..
