From experience, the down side to these attractive screens is that any rain that falls on the bonnet runs along it as you drive along, under the screen and drops straight onto your lap. You get very wet rather than just wet. At least the standard ones do divert the flow to the side a little and possibly give more wind protection as they are sealed at the bottom. If you don't go out in the rain it's not a problem and they do look good.
