I've had one fail and replacement was getting noisy. both had seal failure.
It's widely accepted that the Harley units from which the Morgan one must be derived will not stand up to up moderately tuned HD engines.
The upgraded Morgan unit looks identical to the screamin eagle unit, complete with a more gentle cam profile. Have a look at the new parts book, it even has the sprocket still attached. The design of both is awful but interesting. Excessive Wear on the splines and damage due to bottoming out and undamped return is guaranteed. All problems well documented on motorcycle forums across the US. The fact Morgan have scrapped it says it all.
The new damper will I am sure be massive improvement as I note that the smallest unit made by Centa will handle three times the torque of the 3W. Of course the way the torque is delivered is the main issue.
I just want these made available cos I'm missing driving the beast. Can't think of a way to make the beast fun on the motorway but it's good to see there some other all weather 3W drivers out there.
