I've considered an air brush for a very long time, without getting on with it. Is your paint metallic because if it is, you are very unlikely to get a decent match. I had a very nasty chip on my silver Golf, and had a quote from Chips Away (from memory) - who use airbrush touching-in. The operator came to look, but said because it was in a high visibility area with no swage lines, it wouldn't blend.
Where are the chips? Is it possible to do a panel spray?
All I can tell you about the paint is that it's water based, and when treated with abrasive polish, comes off on the polishing rag.
