Great idea Peter, I'm thinking that the optimum position is... Mounted on the top luggage rack bracket?
It also occurred to me that as it is a magnetic aerial, normally earthed through the bodywork of a tin box. Therefore perhaps I would get a stronger, more continuous signal if earthed with an earth lead to the chassis???
