The MX5 Mk3.75 NC will end production say summer 2014 as the new Mk4 /ND/ Alfa derivative will enter production late summer 2014 for an early 2015 launch.
Therefore I find it unlikely an engine based on the current MX5 engine will be used as Mazda will be using SKYACTIV engines in late 2014 not the current Ford based engine.
