Very pleased it did its job!

We have 4, one in the downstairs hall, one in the upstairs hall, one in the spare room above the garage as it is a bit out on a limb and one in the garage over the main consumer unit and PV inverter.

The hall one used to go off quite often when SWMBO is cooking, recenlty changed it to one that uses a different technology and that seems to be much less sensitive to cooking fumes.

I also have a dry powder extinguisher in the kitchen by the door and a foam one in the garage.

Finally in the garage I have a 7lb ceiling bomb, it has metallic strips that melt at 165F and release sufficuent stuff to extinguish any fire in that space. Call me paranoid but I sleep better knowing that the Morgan is protected and the alarms will wake even me.

Battery change date is in the diary, all done the same day.

I firmly believe that it should be a legal requirement to have a working smoke detector.
