Mine's coming up to the 3 month service and although the compensator isn't too bad it's definitely noisier than when new.
I might just bite the bullet and get the new unit sooner rather than later.
Mine is going into B&C for the 3 month service in a couple of weeks time and I have asked them to change the noisy compensator. I expect the warranty to pick up the tab.
I'm with B&C as well so will ask Phil to see what he thinks. On delivery mine "clonked" every now and again - maybe once every 20-30 seconds. Now it's probably once every 5 seconds so getting worse.
However better news on the bevel box - at the risk of tempting fate this was OK on delivery and is still pretty quiet.
